To keep our practice viable we need payment on the day of service. Please provided 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. This will help avoid us having to charge cancellation fees.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate for your visits if you have ‘extras’ that includes Podiatry cover. Please check with your health fund directly to find out your level of cover.

We have HICAPS facility that enables us to claim your private health insurance rebate on the spot leaving only the outstanding balance for you to pay.

Medicare

In some circumstances your doctor may be able to refer you to podiatry under the Medicare plan for Chronic Disease Management. In these circumstances the doctor will put together a management plan that outlines how the podiatrist is going to contribute to your health needs. Once we have agreed to be part of this plan then the doctor is able to allocate visits on a referral form. Please bring any paperwork that your doctor has given to you in regards to this.

Please note we do not bulk bill these visits and there will be some out of pocket cost. The upfront cost for a consultation is $73. We are able to process your claim directly with Medicare and have your rebate paid directly into your nominated bank account. Currently the rebate is $56.00 leaving an out of pocket expense of $17.00

Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA)

We are able to provide podiatry services to Gold Card DVA card holders but some conditions apply

  • You must bring a current and valid referral from your doctor
  • Some podiatry services may require prior approval from DVA to get funding
  • If you are a DVA Gold Card holder, DVA will fund podiatry services that are clinically needed
  • If you are a DVA White Card holder, DVA will fund podiatry services if required because of an accepted war caused or service related condition
